Wesley Enhanced - Upper Moreland Outstanding

I have been working with Wesley Enhanced Living Upper Moreland for the placement of my parents. The staff has been phenomenal in assisting in the decision making process as well as providing guidance. I would recommend this facility to anyone interested in placing someone in an excellent environment

The nurses make all the difference

My mother had Alzheimer's and spent her final years at Stapeley. In her time there, the nursing staff treated her with love and respect. Whenever I visited, my mom would be with the nurses and would be at ease and happy. They would give me updates about how mom was doing that day - good mood, bad mood, feisty, a little sad - they kept a good eye on her and I could tell. It meant and means a lot to me that they opened up their hearts to my mother.

The facility is in the middle of extensive renovations so it was a bit awkward walking around, but we were impressed with what we saw and with what was planned for the upgrades. [Name removed] presented a helpful and informative tour and we did not feel pressured except for the time frame to take advantage of discounted entrance fees due to the reconstruction. Wesley was conveniently located for our family and in a pleasant setting. This is at the top of our options right now.

Nice place, well presented. Apartments on the small side. Not a lot of amenities but that is a plus as far as I am concerned. Don't want to pay for a lot of things that I will never use. Not comfortable with purchasing a cottage and having your equity vanish after 4+ years. Staff was informative and helpful. A good initial experience.

Wesley Enhanced is a large facility, and that may be its main drawback. They seem to have nice rooms, good dining options, although the assisted living dining room seemed a bit isolated from the rest. Also, the assisted living floors, while similar to independent, are not mixed among them. May show this to mom, but she might find the size a bit overwhelming.

not a lot of scheduled activities that I could see, but it may be directly related to the cost at this facility. Like the option of flexibility in regards to dining. You can eat when you want to for a monthly allotment.

Mom is Enjoying Her Time Here

My mother is enjoying her time here in this community since her move here. I'am satisfied with everything they have done for us. She is safe, and they are taking good care of her, and her needs. They have a good staff at this community. Everything is working out quite well for us in this facility. This is a good community, and I would recommend it.

Nice place!!

I have no complaints about how things went for my loved one and I during our tour of this community. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to provide us with lots of great information on everything they had to offer. They had a nice floor plan with lots of great amenities to offer all of the residents. It was just not the right fit in the end decision.

Comfort for mom!

My mother seems to be doing very well since her move to Wesley Enhanced Living. She likes her apartment and the meals they provide. She has been looking into the many activities they offer and making new friends. Her only complaint so far os that they have canceled a few movie nights, but other than that she seems very happy.

Nice Clean Community

My tour of this is community went very well. This is a nice community. Everybody was very friendly and kind. The community looked nice and clean. It was a good experience. There were many factors that played into where to place my mother. This wasn't the place for us, but it is a good community.

A New Beginning

Our family has been so pleased at Mom's move and adjustment at Stapley. The facility is managed well and the staff is diligent about taking care of the needs of the residents. There is an atmosphere of care here and an effort to create a home environment with many social, creative, spiritual, and culinary choices. Mom's life is fuller and richer since coming here. In summary this transition had been a blessing for us all.

WHY I CHOSE STAPELEY

My wife of 53 years, was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease about five years ago. She recently became a resident of Stapeley. She resides in a spacious, sunny room in the newly renovated wing devoted to Alzheimer's residents. After visiting six Alzheimer's care facilities, I chose Stapeley for her because of the cleanliness of the facility, the staff interaction with the residents and families, the variety of activities available, and the cost. Because I do not drive, I found Stapeley reasonably convenient to public transportation. Stapeley's staff has been very prompt in answering my email comments and questions. They helped ease the way through this very stressful period in our family's life.

Mom's New Home!

My Mom entered the Stapley through the skilled facility, while there recuperating from a fracutred pelvis her needs were met the staff was both very helpful and friendly. During this time it became apparent the Mom was going to need to find a place with assisted living, I spoke to Julie Flanagan and the nursing staff and was impressed with their care and concern for the residents. I discussed the issue of entering assisted living with Mom and we made the decision to stay at Stapley and have been happy with our discision ever since that moment in time.

Reasonable Price and Friendly Staff

We looked at many places before choosing Stapeley. We chose it because of its reasonable price and friendly staff. There are lots of activities particularly music ones which my mother greatly enjoys. Though my mother would still prefer to be in her own apartment, I am relieved that she is getting competent care and greater security.

Met with the Director and toured the apartment building and an apartment, also was shown a Twin/cottage that was lovely. Must go over finances. Fifteen meals a month included in the cottage. Different for the apartments. Will get back to her.If skilled care is ever needed, would go to WEL in Doylestown. Do not have skilled care for the cottages, but do have assisted living and skilled care there for apartment residents on the first and second floors. Cottage is not looking like an option that we could posssible afford. All utilities would be met by us. It would be trading our home for the expense of it, and not downsizing, but putting more strain on us finanially. There are three on a list for a one bedroom cottage of which there are only a few. We were shown the largest cottage they had which was gorgeous, but it is looking more and more not feasible for us.

Nice Place

It is a maybe recommendation. I am disappointed is a few services. There was a medical concern but the community wouldn't take them to the doctor, plus the community didn't want to do tests for my loved one. The community wouldn't allow my loved on to come back after their hospital stay.

A Reasonable Place To Be

The skilled nursing section is sketchy. There are questions about how many staff members are there and if there's really enough. Maybe that's just a problem that occurred while we were there but I think it could be a little better. We chose it for location's sake. It's close to my in-laws' old neighborhood and the church that they attend so the local made some things easier. I would not use them again for my in-laws but maybe for someone else. My mother-in-law is still there but she is not settled on if she's staying. She wants to be with her family. It's not home for her. From the outside looking in it's not an unreasonable place to be. I think the price is reasonable and you get a lot for the price. I would and have recommended it to others. My mother-in-law's sister and brother-in-law moved in and they're quite pleased with Stapeley.
