They don't have a lot of care services. They really only do light cleaning, they clean the sheets, and they cook. My dad is 92 and I really need more care for him. I have a girl that goes in every other week and does his clothes and the things that he needs. It's just independent living. I think the meals are pretty good. I think the activities are great. They always seem to have something going on. They do bingo, a little baseball game, cocktail parties, a lot of really fun things since I've been acquainted with them. The problem is if you can't get on the bus to go do the offsite activities and there's nobody that lives there that is willing to help you then they don't take you because they don't do assisted living so that's a problem for us. They don't help them onto the bus. They said they don't have insurance to do that.

My mom became a resident after downsizing from a larger home. She instantly loved the experience at Hiiltop Commons. Her social opportunity expanded, she felt part of a small community, and above all she felt safe and cared for. Although she passed away after only two years of residency, our relationship with the staff has continued. They are professional when neccessary, but most importantly are all personal in their dealings . God Bless them.

It's been almost 4 years ago that Mom and Dad made the huge decision to make life easier for both of them. After visiting other facilities, Mom knew the minute she walked into Hilltop, she was "home." The friendships have brought Mom through a very difficult time when Dad went home to be with Jesus. The staff is very creative in all the planned activities. They are always friendly and willing to make Mom's life as easy as possible. Knowing she is comfortable and happy is such a relief for me as well. Hilltop Commons is a very special place. All it takes is a willing spirit to want to get along together, and make new friends. Mom has succeeded in doing both.

We were regular guests of their FUN and FESTIVE Banquets, the staff went ABOVE and BEYOND with the food and entertainment. I would HIGHLY recommend River Oaks Retirement Community..

I would tell others to not hesitate in placing a senior family member or friend here. They are very friendly, very well organized, and very well staffed. They go out of their way to try to make accommodations for anything you might need. The apartments are very well maintained. My loved one's apartment was in excellent condition when she moved in, with fresh paint and clean carpeting. Any little things we've asked to be done were done right away. I have no complaints about the apartment.

They have lots of activities like bingo, walks and family days for the residents to bring family in. Fridays they have someone also come in for entertainment and my loved one really likes this. Overall they do the best they can with the group they have. I am very please with the care that my loved one is getting as well as the place itself.

Great community for active seniors able to live totally independent. Rooms have full kitchens and it's a pet friendly place. There was lots of friendly chatter in the dining room during lunch. Many residents greeted us during the tour and we saw a number of friendly little dogs. There were some nice outdoor covered spaces for residents to enjoy during nice weather. There is a new Raley's just across the street.

The staff have been helpful with her every day needs and have provided her with excellent care during her stay. She enjoyed a few of the activities that she could as well as the dinning experience with the other residents. Overall I was pleased with her stay and would recommend it to anyone.

I am happy so far with how well my mother has been doing since she moved into this community. The apartment is a little small for all of her staff but we are making accommodations as best as possible right now. They have an activity center there that I thought was a cool amenity to get all of the residents involved with one another and enjoy games throughout the week. Overall we are happy and would recommend this place to anyone.

My only complaint is the food. Either the cook here buys the cheapest food from Sysco or Jysco does not have very good food. All meat is breaded. Dinners are repeated often. Pies are terrible because of crust. We use to have very good coffee here until they changed the brand. Now very bitter.

The staff is great. The facility is clean and pleasant. There are plenty of activities to keep you occupied. They allow small pets & have a dog run where the dogs can play unleashed. If there is one grace that need improvement it would be the food. Meals have gone downhill in the past year & the chef needs to be let go & one hired who actually knows how to cook other than opening cans or thawing something out & nuking or baking it. Spices would not be out of place here.

We are very pleased with all of the staff at Campus Commons, and feel like they are doing as much as possible to make our lives a lot easier. The food is well prepared most of the time. Every special of the day may not be something you like, but there is always the other side of the menu.
