Home Away from Home
Joyful Residential AL is a caring, loving and a “like home” facility. The staff was very professional, patient, friendly and very attentive to my mother’s physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Mother was a resident at the start of the Covid 19 pandemic and the staff was extremely protective of their residents to keep them safe from the virus. I truly appreciated that. The staff assisted my mother to use FaceTime so we could visit and see each other daily. Communication with the staff was always welcomed. The facility was clean and organized. They celebrated special events and holidays with the residents too. Mom is now back home with me but she has happy memories of her time there. That warms my heart.

Highly recommended
Joyful RAL is such an amazing home! The house is clean and beautiful and the Owner/RN is so approachable and compassionate. There are many group activities for residents, the food is excellent, and all of the caregivers clearly have a lot of experience and genuinely care about the residents. Staff will do a detailed care plan that they follow to ensure your loved one is well cared for. If you are looking for an intimate, caring, highly qualified setting - this is it.

I went to tour the facility looking for a place for your love one and the place was very nice. The staffs was really nice and friendly, and i ended up moving my love one into the facility and that was the best decision you ever made.

Exceptional care facility for your loved one
[Name removed]- I'm sorry your facility has been a victim of my brother's verbal abuse during the painful time for our family. As my mother's power of attorney, I want you to know my mother has expressed her happiness and gratitude with the care she has been receiving and I will happily serve as a reference to anyone who chooses to move their loved one to your facility.
After moving my mother in/out of so many care facilities, I can attest that the care she is receiving is above and beyond what other facilities are offering. Again, thank you for exceptional care you have given to my mother.

unbelievably callous and disrespectful
I called on [date removed] within the hours they specified asking to speak to my mother for one minute (which seems to be her limit). I was told that she was sleeping and that someone from the facility would call me back when she was awake. They did not call back. I called 3-4 times on [date removed] asking to speak to my mother for a minute. [Name removed], apparently the person who owns or operates the facility, again told me my mother was sleeping and that she would call me back. I reminded her that the same promise was made a day earlier. Her response was basically I know though we were busy. She appeared slightly put out and stated that I should not call every day so I noted that they were receiving somewhere around 8k a month to care for my mother and I did not think asking for one or two minutes a day to talk to my mother was too much to ask. She replied, and I quote, '[Name removed] we are not at your mercy'. I was appalled. I am angry and disgusted. I strongly, strongly recommend that anyone looking for a place for their loved one look elsewhere.
