Nice place overall
Reasons we chose Ivy Park at Otay Ranch - New facility (only 5 years old), price, location (nearby family) and overall presentation.
Overall good experience work orders take a while to complete. Maintenance issues take a while to get fixed.

welcoming community
The staff is very nice and made my dad feel very welcome. It took a week or two to get everything set up and the staff was very receptive to his/my needs and questions. The facility is absolutely beautiful.

A beautiful place for Mom
My mother in law was very happy at Ivy Park at Otay Ranch. This facility is gorgeous and chic. The housekeeping keeps it that way. The staff was very caring and attentive. I would highly recommend this facility to family and friends.

Improvement needed
My mom was only there for 3 months and in that time she was admitted to the hospital for a week, two times and also sent to a physical therapy facility for two weeks. The staff did not take notes on anything we told them. They also did not seem to be very knowledgeable about dementia patients. We moved our mom to a different facility after her second stay in the hospital. She is doing much better at the new facility.

Tour experience
Ivy Park is amazing and were really trying to meet the max that my parents could afford. But it would've immediately tripled because my mom moved to Memory Care after only about a month.

Friendly Community, Great Staff
I'm pretty happy with the community. I like the staff and the way they treat and care for my loved one. I like that they allow family to visit whenever to see our loved one.
There are three meals served daily in the dining room, with snacks available as well for the residents.
Some of the activities available include card games, arts and crafts, outings for the residents to go on, happy hour, and more for the residents to choose from.

Ridiculous
I went with a friend to visit her mom at Ivy Park at Otay Ranch. The building was clean and so spacious. But when we went inside memory care, the residents smell. My friends moms diaper was so wet. Their caregivers were just sitting there doing nothing. And to my surprise, they were just sitting at the dining room. One of the lazy caregivers told us that they are not allowed to sit at their living room which they used to. My friends mom has been there for years and I haven't seen and smelled her so badly. She used to be clean. My friend asked the caregiver to change her mom's diaper. If we didn't visit her, she would be sitting on her wet diaper the whole afternoon. I am sure the management knows what is happening or they don't care at all.

My tour review
We loved this place , they just did not have a pool. They had a spa tub and said that they would let her go there to take her weekly bath. But my loved one really likes water aerobics and being in the pool and they did not have that. The location was also too far everyone was wonderful and really sweet.

Extraordinary, highly recommend
We chose Sienna at Otay Ranch because they were very cooperative and reached out to me quickly. They provided information up front and answered everything I needed to know, it was a very smooth transition. They put out weekly newsletters to keep families informed of what was going on. The staff were always overly kind to me and the service was great. They were very attentive to my wife and it made all the difference. I would recommend them to others looking.

Friendly community
We chose this community because they allowed my dad to have his cat. It was light, airy and new. The biggest thing I was satisfied with was communication. I had 24/7 contact with the administration and nursing staff. They were very receptive and responsive. It seemed to me that they retained and kept really loving staff. The love and care they provided was so genuine. I would recommend it and I definitely would say go check it out. The food was good. They had a beautiful outside area with gardening opportunities for the residents.
