Everyone from the housekeepers, to the activities directors, the nurses, the Cafe' staff and administrators made Mom feel not only \"at home\", but they made her feel needed. That was huge! My favorite thing about the way they treated Mom was that they treated her as the adult she was. They were so respectful. Never did the baby talk thing. That meant a lot. All in all this is a fabulous place! My Mom's best friend has already decided that she's moving there when her time comes. There are no staff to meet the resident and no staff checked on her for several days. I don't know if that is something they claim they do there or if my Aunt is expecting too much as her family is all out of state so she is alone for these situations. I guess a few other residents have expressed a similar feeling about that.
