It's really like going on a cruise. Everything is included. I would definitely recommend the place. Everybody is so friendly and helpful. My family member tells me they take good care of her. Most of the time she's pleased the food. She likes the activities. I think it's a great value, especially compared to the last place she was at.
My review of the Arbors anonymous - Resident/client
I would recommend to find somewhere else other than this community. I am not my happiest here and I am looking to move if it is possible and if not I hope that things get better and change here.

I thought The Arbors was a very nice place. They just didn’t have anything larger than a studio. If they had more options, it would have been better.
Be very carefuly about the place that you choose. Experience is more important than research. anonymous - Child of resident/client
Make sure that your loved one is able to care for themselves enough to exist in the community. We researched it and thought it would be okay. But my mom needed a little more attention than they were able to provide, which was quite a problem for me. They did not handle my mom well. I don't think that they evaluated her properly. The people who lived at Arbors were a little more advanced than she was. She needed more care, which they did not have the staff or ability to provide. It wasn't a bad facility - it just wasn't right for my mom. And I felt like they cared more about getting their rent and getting her in there than their ability to take care of her.

We only looked at The Arbors, they really helped a lot and were able to get her in as soon as they could. They do supply the furniture which was very nice. We got a special at the time we moved in too so it was good timing. My mom is in a single room and it is great size, the bathroom is terrific. I think she has made a lot of progress since being here and I would recommend them.

The only issue we have had was some wifi issues occasionally. Other than that the community is great. They keep it clean and well maintained and the staff is very friendly. The food looks good and they have some activities avalible.

We had such a great first impression with this community, we can confidently say we are very happy with our decision. The place is very clean and always smells so good. The staff are always so friendly, warm, welcoming, and cheerful. They have taken such great care so far of our sister. There is so much to do and so much diversion, our loved one is always kept busy, there is always something going on. Everyday the staff hand out calendars with different events if you want to participate. When we first toured the community we were able to eat a meal there and oh my gosh are they amazing. The residents have the choice of three different options for every single meal. They are so tasty. There is house keeping everyday, and our loved ones clothes are done every week and they bring them back folded. Also if our loved one needs to shower she can choose between three different options, either no assistance, full assistance, or they can just have the staff member stand outside the door and be there if they need assistance. Another nice thing is they have a hero wall, so anyone who was a Veteran or married to one, could have their picture hung on the wall, so we brought our sister's husband's picture to put up. She really likes it because she feels he is there in spirit with her.

Looked like a great community. My husband and I both liked it. Now the task is getting my mom to see it. Very manageable; good mix of people , staff seems very caring.
The Arbors were a lifeline for my mom during the pandemic. Debbie C - Child of resident/client
We were originally caring for my mom in our home. And with the pandemic, we felt she just wasn't getting enough interaction. So we decided to try community living, and it's been a lifeline for her. It's small enough that after a short time, the staff knew her by name. They look out for her, and go out of their way to make sure she's comfortable. She's happy there, which was my biggest thing. It's very clean, and they keep her apartment impeccable. The laundry service picks up and delivers the next day on a weekly basis. I've walked the grounds and haven't seen anything that was unkempt, or noticed any smells. As far as activities, their hands have been tied due to Covid, but I know they're at least having bingo every day. I visit almost every day and ask her about the food. Most days she'll say it's delicious, and other times she'll have negative feedback about a particular meal. From comments other residents have made, they feel the same way. They say the food is good overall, with the occasional meal they don't care for. It is pricey, but I feel like the the value is there.
Our tour experience anonymous - Toured community
Based on our tour, I was not happy with them at all. During Covid, they allowed us to walk around inside (where other communities did not), and we saw people walking around without masks on. It felt uncomfortable. Also, the person we met with had her dog with her. I was just very unhappy with the whole situation.
A good second home Susan E - Child of resident/client
This community is really good for people who don't need a lot of assistance. I feel they do a good job and the staff do a great job taking care of the residence. The communication is very good and they keep us well informed. I would recommend this community to others.

We chose The Arbors because when we went to this particular facility, we walked in and it felt like you were walking into someones living room not a nursing home. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. They bent over backwards for us especially with moving him in here during covid. The one main selling point was they did not up charge if your loved one had to take medications, it is all included with the price unlike the other facilities we saw. They gave us a tasting on the food before we moved him in here and it was awesome. When covid is not going on, they do provide a lot of activities for the residents. There are also a lot of men at The Arbors, which was nice, most of the time it is primarily women. I would highly recommend to others looking.
Very welcoming and friendly place! Judy Gerrard - Loved one of resident/client
The Arbors community is a very fun and caring place, the admissions person was just fantastic, she is very caring and very welcoming. The rooms are very comfortable, they come fully furnished with five items, or you can use your own furniture. You can also choose to have a roommate or have a room to yourself. The chef is just fantastic, he is truly a great guy and he makes delicious food. During COVID the staff has really done the best they can to keep the residents active and engaged.
I feel that they are not very good at keeping up with the residents anonymous - Loved one of resident/client
We were displeased with the Arbors at Westbury. My brother was here and he passed away from COVID. We feel they dropped the ball at the end, he was suffering in his joint room. His roommate had COVID and they took his roommate to the hospital but not him, they left him there. We could not get in touch with my brother and they were not good with communication here. It seemed to me that they weren't very quick on diagnosing him. Overall, it was not a bad place except for they did not follow through.
Would recommend this community anonymous - Loved one of resident/client
We believe this community could be doing a better job when it comes to being creative with activities during COVID. We moved our loved one in wanting her to be active with the residents but since COVID there are very limited activities. We wish they would at least offer cross word puzzles or something the residents could look forward to.
However, prior to COVID we were able to see that this community was kept very clean, there was never anything out of place. Now currently there has been a change in staff, who aren't keeping up with the cleanliness in our loved ones room. They just are cleaning it as frequent as before.
The lobby is always beautifully decorated especially during the holidays. It is very well maintained. The head nurse at this community is absolutely amazing, you could not ask for anyone better to take care of the residents. She is amazing with our loved one.
The residents used to be able to eat their three meals in the dining room, but now the staff members are having to bring up their meals to their rooms so they are somewhat isolated.
My review of the Arbors Barbara - Loved one of resident/client
We chose the Arbors at Westbury because we liked the layout, they have a nice great room. We also needed a more economical place, and also the location, he was closer to me. The rooms here are smaller, but he is very happy. He says the food is hit or miss. I would recommend this community.
Good up until the end anonymous - Loved one of resident/client
The Arbors was good up until the end. Their communication could of been better, my uncle came down with COVID and they did not let us know he had it he ended up passing away from it. They had double rooms, and the space was very tight. The residence would sleep only about a foot or two apart. It was not very spacious at all.
The Arbors At Westbury anonymous - Loved one of resident/client
The community was kept clean and the staff was friendly. In the beginning, the care was good but towards the end of my brother's stay, they were not good with accurately communicating his health situation to us. Because of the community lock down as the result of the Covid-19 pandemic, we were not able to visit him. My brother was happy here while he was well and we were happy with their services.

I would like to Express the highest praise and appreciation to the angels that are caring for our most vulnerable loved ones. [Name removed] is always pleasant and kind when I drop off supplies, [name removed] is so supportive and kind when dealing with my concerns. [Name removed] and the wellness team continue to face the current crisis with patience and care. When the stresses that we all are facing are a memory what wont be forgotten is the peace of mind thar came from knowing that my loved one was in the hands of the team at the Arbors. Many blessings and appreciation from my family.

a very nice facility, although a bit old and in need of some deferred maintenance repairs. Very clean facility and very attentive. Saw many of the residents and they seemed to be in good spirits. Single room was nice. Shared room would not work as they took the single room and just put up a half wall to separate the two room mates. This facility is not for mom as she needs more medical attention than is offered at this facility.
