The staff in management areas are very easy to communicate with and are available by phone, text or email. The food seems adequate, but my mom does not have a lot of positive remarks. They are gradually renovating some units that are very nice. The caregivers have been fairly good overall, but we have heard plenty about shortage of staff per floor and poor pay. The Abbey seems to be in a state of change to improve efficiency. I have visited most of the assisted living facilities in Houston and the Abbey far exceeds any other facility. They keep the Abbey updated and are constantly cleaning. Assisted living facilities can accept residents with dementia and/or Alzheimer’s.
