If I could rate this facility -5 Stars I would
The owners, management & leadership of this company & facility DO NOT CARE about maintaining standards of care, appropriate policies, procedures> Staff aren't adequately trained. They hire & pay for the cheapest possible staff, totally unqualified. Anyone qualified quits within 2-3 months the management is so bad. The food isn't prepared by qualified staff & feed residents processed garbage like chicken nuggets & bologne & cheese sandwiches for Thanksgiving dinner. They NEVER did a care plan for my loved one in almost 3 years, failed to keep her clean, maintain hospice records. There was massive theft of her belongings, clothing, bedding, towels, shoes, gifts by other residents & staff. Several members of staff don't speak a single word of English? How were they possibly hired? They cannot communicate with residents, coworkers or management? Substandard care in every possible way. Never place a loved one in this dump.

Terrible experience
I was mortified by the lack of professionalism. This facility had my mother in there care during a respite stay for an excess of 3 days in her chronic condition. They had not even done the bare minimum by monitoring her vital signs after receiving updated med list and a full physician evaluation report after having ordered additional medications along with medications that were provided for her stay were never given to her. After speaking with their nurse director about this issue he retailed and sent my mother to the emergency room without all of her personal belongings and none of her medications. He also threatened to report ME to aging services after I asked to speak with the owner in the corporate office. He proceeded to provide me with a corporate number for employees which was intentionally inconclusive information. I will not recommend this facility to any family interested in a safe place for their loved ones

Thank you for your review, Jessica. We are sorry that you had the experience that you did. From speaking with representatives at the community, there was requested documentation missing and staff were following the assisted living regulations. Our priority is always the safety and well-being of our residents.

My father lived at St. Ives Memory Care for 5 years. As a registered nurse of 30 years I can testify to the amazing care daddy received. The staff was attentive, activities were appropriate and fun for him. The facility is clean and well ran.

Son of a resident with Dementia
The staff at St. Ives Memory Care are attentive, responsive and caring. I get a phone call anytime something is up with my mom. The facility itself is small and only has the ground floor, which is helpful for the mobility impaired folks. The food is good and the place is spotless. With only 40 or so residents, the staff get to know each resident and their families, so I feel I can trust them with my mother's care. I would recommend placing St. Ives Memory Care at the top of your list when touring care facilities for your family and loved ones.

Happy
My dad has been a resident @ St. Ives for a few years. Through the time that St. Ives was closed due to COVID for the safety of the residents ( & staff), I was not able to see my father. While this was difficult on its own, I was at peace with the fact that he was very well taken care of and I was able to sleep knowing this. The Executive Director, Abby is a woman that I have a great deal of respect for. She treats the residents as if they are all related to her. I couldn't be happier with St. Ives.

St Ives is a Caring Compassionate Loving Community
My father was diagnosed with vascular dementia in 2018 and progressed to needing memory care in 2021. Our family searched through a dozen area facilities and found something different at St. Ives. Their Executive Director is a trained nurse with nurses and other trained memory care staff professionals and this matters in terms of the compassionate care my father is receiving in the St. Ives community. Dad has good days and bad days but always receives the same loving care. We feel so blessed to know he is receiving the next best experience than being home. St Ives feels like home.

Excellent Care
It is a very difficult decision when and where to place a loved one with dementia. St Ives is a relatively small facility so you always feel like your parent is cared for properly and respectfully. The facility director and all the staff always seem to know what is going on with the residents and are always willing to answer your questions and help to ease your concerns.

Superior Care at a reasonable price
My mother has now been at St Ives Memory Care for a year and a half now and it only keeps getting better. Compared to the other facilities that my mother was in, St. Ives is better run, cleaner, and more concerned about the individual resident. We are there once a week and have observed her care first hand. We always come unannounced and have always found her to be well cared for. She is always in good condition with a clean room. The food looks good. The staff knows her name and interacts well with her. The staff director, [name removed], is an absolute gem. She knows her staff very well and she knows exactly the condition of my mother. There seems to be genuine care and concern from the staff, which is especially good given that memory care patients are not easy to deal with. The staff handle the covid regulations well . The cost is very reasonable. Even if we paid double or triple what we do now, I would still prefer St Ives. It is truly a find for memory care units.

Caring and well trained leadership for my dads care
What has really stood out to us is the training of the staff members, they are very knowledge in this field. This population of elderly individuals in memory care need that extra care which is critically important and they do a phenomenal job. When our loved one first moved in, he became very fixated on chicken wings, and so for the first few weeks the kitchen staff made sure he received chicken wings with his meals for lunch and dinner to help ease him into the transition. Now they have moved him over to the regular meals and we just really appreciated that gesture. Also the male care gives are premium and important for our loved ones transition and we are just overall very pleased with where we placed our loved one.

Superior care for your loved one!
Our mom has been at St Ives Memory Care since March of 2020. Their protocols have kept Mom safe and healthy during these unprecedented times,. The consistency of staffing and the Directors leadership have been exemplary. The Director adheres to strict care protocols making the residents care and safety top priority. The staff follows the Directors protocols and are always caring and professional with the care of our Mom and listen to any concern we have. The meals are prepared with care and always the right temperature. There is always ample staff at meals assuring all patients are fed in a timely and caring manner. The activities are well thought out and Mom enjoys them when she isn’t doing her daily crossswords. The rooms and bathrooms are kept clean at all times and Moms cloths are cleaned regularly. Mom is always clean and well cared for and speaks highly of her care at every visit. It’s not home - although St Ives Memory Care is the next best thing to home for our Mom.

Review of St. Ives Memory Care
St Ives has a caring and diligent staff that carefully monitors seniors with memory issues. They communicate well with guardians and family and have done an admirable job protecting residents from the Covid pandemic. It was the caring of strength of the staff that earned our business and I can recommend them very highly to you and your family.

Review of St. Ives Memory Care
The Medtech send daily caregivers took good care of my dad daily. They did the best they could. However, due to covid-19 we were only allowed to visit with him through a window. I think his final decline was from lack of touch from loved ones (his wife). When essential workers [name removed] was allowed inside the building, the director [name removed] told the barber to shave my dad's head without permission from me or my mom. My dad has never shaved his head! When we first put dad in St Ives we told the director that Dad did not have prescription insurance. That he received all his prescribed drugs through the VA. We were told that his drugs had to go through Guardian Pharmacy. There for a $3,000 bill was run up. Right before dad died, someone at Guardian had the smarts to recommend that dad's drugs needed to go through the VA. So I would say, that when a new resident is coming in, that the director should listen to the loved ones and consider that the VA is involved in veterans care. Had the director listened to us we would not have the a $3,000 Pharmacy bill left to pay. Needless to say this just infuriates me and I feel like we were bullied into a situation that could have been prevented.

Review of St. Ives Memory Care
My dad lived in a few communities before moving to St.Ives in March 2018. I used to worry every day, all day about my dad and the care he was or was not getting. From the very first day of him living in St. Ives, I have not had to worry at all! I am grateful every day that my dad lives at St. Ives and for [name removed] and her amazing Care staff. During this crazy covid-19 and I know he is in the best place, is well taken care of, and safe.

Committed Director, Great Facility
We would like to highly recommend [name removed] and St. Ives Memory Care. [name removed] is the Director of care at this memory unit facility. Almost a year ago, we were in search of a memory care unit for my wife's mother. The previous facility my mother-in-law resided in itself was nice, but there was little management and supervision of staff. Given that we were looking for a placement that potentially could be five years or more, we carefully considered our alternatives. We visited 10 homes and evaluated them in terms of quality of care, condition of the physical building, overall management and supervision, cost, and location. Bottom line, we asked ourselves the question if could we live at this facility. After all our visits touring the different memory units, observing interaction between staff and residents, and talking with both management and caregivers, the decision was clear-cut. St. Ives Memory Care in John's Creek was far superior to all the others. The only other one we liked was $2000 more per month. The St. Ives physical plant is nice, not fancy, but very well kept up. The staff was very attentive as we observed during a two-hour visit. But what truly made the difference was the Director, [name removed]. She runs a very tight ship which at the same time is highly attentive and caring. Everything was very clean. The staff was very hands-on with the residents. The staff was all in the dining room during the meals. During my entire visit, I did not see one staff member on her or his cell phone, which was the hallmark of the previous facility we were leaving. [name removed] is an RN and knows the memory care business. Whenever we called, prior to the pandemic, she always knew about the condition and care of my wife's mother. [name removed] locked down the facility early, which probably prevented many deaths. [name removed] is attentive to even the small details. When we were moving my wife's mother into the facility, I noticed one of the closet doors was off its track. I mentioned that to [name removed] and it was fixed that afternoon. Also, during this pandemic, [name removed] dedication to her residents has given us peace of mind when we could not visit. I really can't say enough good things about [name removed] and St. Ives. Both have not only met but far exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend St. Ives Memory Care and it's fabulous director, [name removed].

My Mom was very happy here. The staff , food, activities, size of St Ives ,apartments and grounds are wonderful. Most of the staff has been there a long time. Everyone greets you. You feel like family. They were super helpful with transitioning my Mom’s care levels. ST. Ives deserves a 5 STAR RATING
My Mom had been in several assisted living and then 2 Memory Care facilities. We thank God for referring us to St. Ives Memory Care in John’s Creek, GA. This was the ONLY facility that did exactly what they promised. The staff there was like part of our family. The food was good, they have wonderful activities, and plenty of outdoor space. The staff was always responsive when we had a question. There was never a lingering odor from resident’s having a bathroom related incident. The family was always included in holiday activities. All of the other facilities said they had all these things but they did not! I recommend ST. Ives Memory Care to any one I meet that I hear talking about their elderly parents. They deserve recognition for all of their hard work and for how much they care.
