Highly recommend Atria Greenridge Place
My loved one is no longer at Atria Greenridge Place as she returned home last November. She did really enjoy her short stay though! All of the staff that we interacted with were very helpful, friendly and professional. We chose Atria initially because of the location, the care and the cost as well. The cleanliness of the facility and friendliness were amazing. Atria Greenridge Place has a great reputation around town, too!

Be an advocate for your loved one
This is about the locked area (I can't remember what they call it now). The front lobby staff were almost always friendly and caring. The aides for the most part were not very helpful at all. They did not listen to suggestions for helping my loved one, then called complaining about him, demanding we come help them. There was one aide who was an angel, [name removed], she treated him like family, but she was not always with him, she can't be there 24/7. The nursing staff lost his medication multiple times and lied about giving him medication that they called and told me he was out of, then yelled at my friend, a nurse, who was asking questions that they should have easily answered, instead they refused to speak to her or me until she left. But I didn't know what to ask or understand the nurse jargon leaving me more frustrated He fell multiple times, he asked for help and
they didn't get his hearing aides so he could understand that he had to stay down in case anything was broken. He returned from the hospital and was not able to hold his head up or talk and they left him in bed for 12 hours, not notifying family of this major change that was COMPLETELY out of character. If anyone sends their loved ones there they must visit daily, to ensure the staff knows they should actually pay attention to their loved one. This is not a place for a person who is not "textbook" Alzheimer's. For those, like my loved one, with dementia but who knew what was happening, was stubborn and wasn't afraid to yell and get angry for what should have been humane care and treatment, this is not the place. Oh and if you're a Veteran and do not have Medicare for prescriptions or medical care this is not the place for you. We moved him there to be closer to family and because in home care was becoming more unmanageable because of cost. I wish we never brought him, he might still be alive today.

Not the best for memory care
If you are looking for assisted living, Atria Greenridge Place is a good choice. However, if you are looking for memory care, I would not recommend. We were told that memory care mirrors the assisted living side in everything they do. This is not the case. The memory care residents spend a lot of time sitting in front of the TV and they are understaffed for the level of care memory care residents often require. Unfortunately our loved was injured as a result of an interaction with a staff member and management refused to acknowledge my concerns or provide any documentation/reports to explain what happened. Also, please be aware that if your loved one exhibits any aggressive dementia behavior they will immediately be sent to the hospital for a psych evaluation. Even if the resident is redirected and the behavior stops. Both the ER doctors and the EMTs expressed their concerns over this policy as it creates unnecessary stress on the resident.

Life Guidance memory Care
Atria Greenridge Place offers 2 separate living communities (assisted living and Life Guidance/Memory Care). If you are looking for Memory care for your loved one, I would stay away from Atria Greenridge place. They are understaffed and the residents spend the majority of the day in front of a tv. Managements focus is 100% on the assisted living side while the Memory care residents are treated like an afterthought. Limited social activities, very limited outings, limited time spent outside. Management refuses to allow memory care residents to be brought over to the assisted living side for any activities because "the assisted living residents don't want them over there". Moving a loved one into memory care is a difficult decision. The picture that was painted during the "sales pitch" is very different from the services we received.

My mom is happier than I have seen her in years here. The facility itself is very clean, it is a nice quiet community, and it has a great light and airy atmosphere. I have seen many other places and this was definitely the best that we saw, it is beautiful. I would absolutely recommend to others looking.

Life saving move
My husband passed away suddenly in August quite unexpectedly. His 93 year old mother had been living with us for 3 years. A dear family friend suggested The Atria. It has been a wonderful for my mother-in-law. She has met many new friends. She reconnected with a dear friend from grade school in Italy. She settled in quickly and enjoys the facility. The staff are all exceptional. As you walk in you feel like you are home. The staff at the reception desk are all kind and compassionate people. My family is so relieved to know she is so well cared for. I highly recommend The Atria!

Our family was able to do an in person tour and our experience was great. The people who took us on the tour were super informative and friendly, they were just wonderful. However the rooms our loved one would be staying in just seemed very dark, and had minimal windows.

This facility was more reasonable and though it was as fancy, the dining hall and activities were very nice. [name removed] did a good job presenting us with info, and was not at all pushy. This location is very good for my Mom, near West side market and her church. The rooms were simpler and less amenities but the prices were much more affordable. We just wish at all 3 places mom could opt out of paying for all 3 meals which are included. She doesn’t eat that much and one meal a day would be plenty.

Atria has been a great experience!
My mom has lived at Atria for over 2 years now. She has made so many friends and it really feels like home. The Staff are wonderful and caring, the food is generally very good and there are a variety of activities and outings. Live music is a favorite and hopefully can resume once the community opens back up. The last several months have been difficult because of the pandemic but I feel Atria has handled it well and kept families informed. We toured two other facilities in the area but this is the one that felt right. It is definitely pricey but I know my Mom is well cared for and any questions or concerns I have had are always addressed in a timely manner.

Highly Recommend!
My mom moved to the Atria at Greenridge Place in February 2020, from another assistant living facility. Mom is so happy at the Atria and I have found it to be a million times better than the place she moved from. At the Atria, the staff is wonderful, and it is clear that they truly care about the residents. The aides, the receptionist, the activities director, the dining room staff, the nurses...all are terrific, and I rest much easier knowing that mom is being well taken care of. I've learned that assisted living facilities are only as good as the management and the management at the Atria is excellent! The director has done a great job at managing the COVID-19 pandemic and works hard to keep the residents safe, and families informed.
I would highly recommend the Atria at Greenridge Place!

Wonderful Place
This past summer it became apparent that I was going to have to move my mom, who has Alzheimer's, into an assisted living facility. This was a very difficult decision. It also required a great many cycles to be accomplished. From the minute I contacted Atria Greenridge they made the whole process easier, and gave me some much needed peace of mind. My mom is now living there, and I couldn't be happier with the care and service she receives. Everyone is caring, professional and really on top of things. I love it, and I know she is safe, secure, VERY well fed! They still take care of me too when I need reassurance on navigating this horrid disease.

Recently moved in a relative. Have found everyone from the sales agent to the receptionist, food service, nursing, maintenance, up to the administrator to be polite, accommodating and professional. Facility is clean, well maintained and secure.
During this difficult time (Covid 19) the facility is exercising proper protocols to insure residents and staff safety. Overall a very positive experience.
